Putin calls dependence on foreign technologies as humiliating

MOSCOW, Jul 20 (PRIME) -- The retreat of the foreign companies has pushed Russia to move, while using foreign technologies means to plunge into humiliating dependence, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.

“It is a humiliating state. In this case, I would like to say that it is a blessing in disguise,” he said. “The fact that they are leaving makes us move at last, because sitting all the time on foreign technologies is plunging into dependence, into humiliating dependence and dangerous dependence, because this dependence, it becomes wider and goes from one industry to another, including highly critical ones related to the military technologies.”
